Selling your boat through Hoffmaster’s Marina is easy peasy lemon squeezy! Here’s how it works:

Call 703/494-7161 and ask to speak with Chuck Hedrick (our Pre-owned specialist) or send an email to chuck@hoffmasters.com. Chuck will have you send him a completed pre-owned condition report (click here to download the pre-owned condition), after which Chuck will analyze book values and give you a range. If that range is agreeable to you, bring the boat to us and take Chuck for a ride demonstrating the boat.

For the cost of $299 we willl go over the boat and take oil samples from the engine and drive ($399 if a boat with a generator, $699 twin engines and generator). If the samples pass we will be able to market your boat as Titan-Certified with a $3,000 guarantee on internally lubricated parts. Certified pre-owned boats command at least that much more money on the price AND sell more quickly. We sign a listing agreement good for 90 days.

We market your boat on boats.com, our website and on Facebook. You pay for the initial cleaning or clean yourself and we keep her clean afterwards. The buyer has the advantage of working through a trusted boatyard with a full service marina and private launch ramp. The marina can be seen from Route 95 south. Your boat can be seen seven days a week, shown by professional salespeople. We demonstrate and show the boat, prep her for delivery and instruct the buyer. After settlement we bring you the net selling price less 10% commission or $3,000 whichever is great and any loan payoff if applicable.
