Tubing on the Potomac

One great thing about running a marina—you get to take wonderful boats out with wonderful people!

A few Fridays ago I took a brand new 220 Cobalt out with my wife and my 11 year-old goddaughter. We got a take out lunch from the local deli and packed a tube and water-skis for an afternoon of sun and fun.

Little did we know the wind would be blowing out of the north at 25 knots! Fortunately the Cobalt 220 was perfectly set up for us to have fun anyway. We anchored at Sandy point, closed the windshield and walk through doors to shelter us from the wind and proceeded to chow down! Once we had our fill we headed out. It was too rough to ski but we tubed all afternoon. Once again that walk through door saved our bacon. Here are a few shots of us flying around on the tubes.
