Finally around mid May the weather started to break big time and by Memorial Weekend we had our summer weather. Sally and I spent the night in Belmont Bay Sunday. I'll give a free Hoffmaster's flag to any customer who contributes a photo that I use on our website. |

We're finally done with the Cruiser Pavillion Roof! I'm still having trouble getting a pile driver for A pier though and I owe you guys that freshen-up to the bath houses. Many of you know that David Mattingly at some point here may leave to go into a new line of work after 32 years at Hoffmaster's. The basic idea here is he stays until he finds a real no-brainer situation, so don't be suprised if he's around for awhile. |
| Now it's just insane! We're down to 9 or 10 used boats of which I think 2 may have been signed this weekend. We have less than 10 Chris Crafts and 6 Chaparrals because that's what I had going into the weekend and I think we may have sold 4 more of them plus another couple of boats out of the plant! |
| I'm an a--hole until the 4th of July. People are getting more steamed at me when a note isn't left on the boat or the work isn't done. All I can say is I've tried to curtail advertising as much as I can without losing factory money, put a moratorium on boat orders for stock, and have expanded the yard by adding 2 full time and 3 part time laborers. And I still haven't reduced the backlog. It's going to be like this through the 4 th. |
| Dad's on the warpath about dock boxes, dinghies, other crap on the docks. I know I would like to be more mellow than this about the issue but don't be suprised if dad challenges you on it. |
| Nothing much to report right now. The Chris Craft meeting is July 11 th-13 th and Chaparral is August 9-11 so I'll have more then. | |
