Sorry about the delay in getting a new letter to you. I've had several business trips, plus as many of you know my oldest sister in California passed away 8/24. You're cards, letters and emails have all been a big help and our family really appreciated it. |

We're lining up a man to do repair work to the culvert piping at E pier. When he gets done with that we'll go about gravelling the parking lot. The upgrade to the pumpout is coming along, and by the end of the year (this requires a lot of compliance to obtain government grants) we'll have a vacuum operated pumpout system with a porta potti dump station. |

The Chaparral Dealer Meeting was a success although Hurricane Gordon made his presence felt. It was wet the whole time but Monday morning we got a break that allowed us to see some boats. We saw some great new models including a redesigned 220 BR SSi and the 263 Sunesta deckboat, but what really turned us on was the all new 280 Signature and the production version of the 350 Signature with Duoprops. |

The new Sigature models borrow many classic features from previous models such as drop out aft lounge seating for fishing. The new models have better engine compartment access, forward swept radar arches, and extended swim platforms. We've been waiting forever for this boat and it was worth it !!! The 350 Signature pictured here came with a pair of 315 HP 5.7L Volvo Duoprops. With full fuel and 8 people she was on plane in 5 seconds, bow was down in 8 seconds, and she did 46 MPH !!! We ordered one in a heartbeat. Might not make it to Chantilly but will to Washington, DC. |
