What's happening around the Marina
It hasn't slowed a bit sales-wise. I cut off advertising for the last 4 weeks out of 5 in the Post and almost ran out of boats until I finally got Chaparral and Chris Craft to come through.

Work Backlog

I'm going to jinx myself here but we've gotten the backlog down to 900 hours now. I'm hoping we can get that down to 600-700 hours by the end of the month so we can start work on the physical plant again.

By and large the customer base has avoided two faux pas: Asking the men to moonlight for them and hitting me up for work on my day off. Just a comment though: The men are well paid and work their tails off. When someone asks them for work off the clock they resent it but they also immediately tell me. To those of you that have tried let me tell you: it ain't going to happen.

Hitting me up for work on my day off really makes Sally mad. She gets me one day a week, we like to boat like all of you, and evertime I get hit up she and I get in an argument. Besides that I usually forget to write it down and then I look like an idiot, which, although it's natural for me, is a source of frustration.

  • Fireworks at Tim's Rivershore Saturday the 1 st. There's also Fireworks and the 1812 Overture with cannons at Jones Point Park Saturday the 8 th. If somebody goes let me know
