We got our visit from the 20 Group, a group of 20 non-competing marine dealers from around the country. Some recommendations they told us to do:

• Dedicated Service Building
• More accessories in the store
• Replace the current billing system with one where the amount is billed to a credit card if payment not received by date due rather than charging a service charge
• Do away with the snack bar-put a snack bar outside (let me know comments here, their reason is it disrupts salespeople. I don't want to kill the atmosphere. On the other hand if we had a place outside that sold the same things???)

Some projects we are done with/in process on:

• Installed a deck in front of the bath house to keep mud from being tracked in. Installed automatic door closers (need to redo the one on the women's room)
• Installed a deck between the Cruiser Pavillion and the store
• We're pressure washing the docks and doing board replacements
• We're planning to have a jet ski port for 3 or 4 PWC's by Memorial Day
• Still working on the fuel area, not done yet
• Will install signs to keep pets policed especially around the picnic area

On April 20th and 21st the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be in the store handing out literature and promoting safe boating.

I'm coordinating with Occoquan Yacht Club for a Customer Appreciation Day in May. We'll have Courtesy Examinations performed by the Auxiliary, specials in the store and snack bar, hopefully a band, and more.

The Cherry Blossoms will peak first week of April! Make sure and plan to see these blossoms!

For Service and parts orders and follow up call Terry. If he's not there call Wendy. On the weekends leave Terry notes. Parts order forms and work order forms are located on the parts counter. Anybody in the store can assist you in this.
