| Chris Craft will be shipping boats for our spring deliveries starting 3/26. We anticipate availability of any boats placed on order after April 1st to be July at the earliest. For the 2002 model year all the current models will be produced. In addition we look forward to at least 2 new models. Parts will start shipping in April, and the company is supplying full warranties to our boats in stock. |
| The rumor has
once again started up that Prince William is buying Hoffmaster's
and that I'm holding out for $3,000,000. 3 thoughts: 1-A $100 account credit to the customer that finds the 1st hand source of this rumor 2-If I was holding out it would be for a lot more and, as I promised you the last time this happened, you my customers would be the first to know not the last. No one has shown me any money, that's for damn sure! 3-I was watching my favorite minister Charles Stanley on Sunday and he gave a sermon on gossip. He said something priceless:"Better to be the victim of a rumor than the rumor-monger. Better to walk through the fire than to be the one that sets the fire. Better to wade the uncertain waters than to be the one that blows up the dam." I consider this a sin, I don't rumor-monger, and I don't like to associate with rumor-mongers. Either I'm selling the place or I'm not. Either I'm spending $6,000/year of my money to make myself a better businessman or I'm not. Either I'm working 6-4 M-T-W-F, 10-4 Sat and at home on Thurs or I'm not. Let me tell you folks, I am. And when I have first hand knowledge of this rumor-monger I will post it for all to see. |

We threw away the ice machine and are going to have a freezer with bags of ice from now on so we'll be less likely to be out of ice at any given time. The pumpout machine has been largely installed, with final permit approval, electrical hookup and a roof all that remains. We also got the gas pump repaired so it should stop acting stupid. The travelift hauled it's first 28 ton boat last week so we're up and running again. |
| A group of my neighbors is trying to get a dog run put in at South Run Park. If you live in the Newington Forest Area you might be able to make use of this park provided they get enough MONEY to fund it. Please visit their website for more info. They are having a Walkathon at Lake Accotink April 21st to raise money. They have collected $4,000 and need to get to $7500 to get the leashless dog park installed. |
| The DC Show was a total success. I was worried because I didn't have any big Chris' to sell but it went OK. We sold Chris Crafts, Chaparrals and Used Boats, our numbers are a little up from last year, and South River Yacht Sales wwas just great to work with! Thanks to Lee, Darren, Edie, and the yard guys and customers at South River! |
| Chris Craft Update Chris Craft has been purchased from Genmar by an entreprenuer named Stephen Julius. This is good news for Hoffmaster's and Chris Craft, as he and his minority partner Stephen Heese have also purchased the trademark from Herb Siegel, Chairman of Chris Craft Industries. With entreprenuerial ownership Chris Craft is a win win situation. |
